The spiritual life is a journey, not a destination, and that God uses people – in spite of their mistakes or weaknesses – when they seek his purpose for their lives.

Again from Oprah’s today, I got something for my mind: The Purpose Driven Life book

Purpose Driven Life

Actually, I read this book from October 20, 2005 – but, sadly to say, this is one of the very few books I failed to finish. It is hard for me to keep trying to read the book for 40 days in a row. Perhaps it is because I don’t have enough passion to read it.

Back to the Oprah (read here for the complete story), the chapter 32 inspired me a lot:

DAY 32 – USING WHAT GOD GAVE YOU
God deserves your best!

“Since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be.” Romans 12:5 (MSG)

He shaped you for a purpose, and he expects you to make the most of what you have been given. Don’t let another day go by. Start finding out and clarifying what God intends for you to be and do.

At the show, Rick Warren, the author of The Purpose Driven Life book said:
“There are two great stories in Ashley’s life. One of them is you don’t have to be perfect to be used by God. If God only used perfect people, nothing would get done because none of us are perfect. God uses us in spite of our faults, our mistakes, our weaknesses. … The bottom line is God will use anybody if you’re available. That’s the key.”
