Kinokuniya & HMV & Jigsaw – Reduction of the word “shopping” for me will be looking for books and CD/DVD. These are must-visits everytime I go to Singapore. Although not always buying (especially HMW.. considering it’s competing with Ambassador and Mangga Dua hehehe), can spend hours in these two places.
Public Transport – Probably the best in the world. Easy to go everywhere, and very integrated between bus and MRT.
Sign and Information (esp for Tourist) – An important infrastructure. You always know where you are. Combining it with good public transport make you impossible to get lost in Singapore, even if you are a poor map-reader.
Internet Broadband – Well, completing the good infrastructure is internet. Superfast.

Claustrophobic and Long Queueing – So crowded in certain area and certain time. Always lose appetite to have dinner on Saturday night because you’ll have long queuing to get food and taxi. You’ll die starving before you sit down to order … or if you you’ll get home quicker rather by walking rather than waiting at taxi stand.
Hospitality – May be this is the effect of having a good sign and information everywhere. But try to ask for direction in a mall or in the street, amazingly you’ll have difficulty. And if in Indonesia, people (especially in service role, such as security, front office, waiter) are willing to help when they don’t know, don’t expect you get the same attitude in Singapore. You’re on your own. So.. try as hard as you can to help yourself.
Singlish – Sometime Singaporeans are speaking gibberish. And if we do not understand (please bear with our ear…), they show no interest and mercy to try to speak slower or clearer.
Boredom Acute – Staying more than 3 days alone in Singapore is torturing. After quickly going through the LIKE list, suddenly.. no where to go and nothing to do. Looking at the newspaper, TVs there’s no crazy news, hot gossip, or silly comments like in Indonesia….
