Five formulaic comedy. Entertaining, watchable, but laugh is all you got in the end.
GOOD LUCK CHUCK (2007)
A guy suddenly is known as ‘lucky charm’. Have sex with him, and you will get to see your true love. So what if this guy meets woman he truly loves?
Just like any other teen movie like American Pie.. don’t expect too much.
But in this genre, this movie is quite a success. Funny.
SUPERBAD (2007)
Typical teen flick about friendship, sex, and crazy things from non-popular guys in high school.
A bit fresh because of its characters.
HAIRSPRAY (2007)
Remind me a lot of ‘High School Musical’…
Entertaining (esp with John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer and Christopher Walken in it), good dance moves…. but.. that’s it.
HEARTBREAK KID (2007)
After several dissapointments, Ben Stiller married to a very beautiful girl.
But he finds out who he truly loves during his honeymoon.
Enjoyable with laughs here and there..
but I wonder when will Farelly brothers come up with something hillarious like ‘There’s Something About Mary’ again?
MR WOODCOCK (2007)
Not bad if you look for formulaic comedy.
A man must face his bullying teacher from his past that will marry his mom.
But better watch Thornton’s other movie : ‘School for Scoundrels’
