Rasanya hampir semua kota besar pinggir pantai utara Jawa punya tempat nostalgia. Tempat jaman oma-opa kita dulu pacaran deh. Sebut saja, Bandung dg Braga Permai-nya, Semarang dengan Toko Oen-nya, Jakarta dengan Ragusa-nya. Begitu juga dengan Surabaya, punya tempat ice cream yang disebut Zangrandi. Mirip dengan ice cream Ragusa, ice cream di tempat ini disebut ice cream Italia – gelato. Didirikan oleh orang italia jaman perjuangan dulu – Roberto Zangrandi, tahun 1930.

Tempatnya sampai saat ini masih dibuat seperti jaman dulu. Kursi rotan dengan list merah. Paling enak duduk di bagian depan, di terasnya; jadi masih bisa lihat sibuknya traffic di Surabaya.

Ice creamnya sendiri enak. Pilihan rasa banyak: vanilla, chocolate, chocolate crush, mocca, kopyor, durian, strawberry, rum raisin, lychee dll. Two scoops will cost you Rp 8K and 4 scoops goes for Rp 11K. Kalau mau yang spesial, bukan hanya ice cream saja; noodle ice cream (ice creamnya dibuat berbentuk seperti mie) Rp 14K, Banana Split – Rp. 14K atau Vienna Sundae – Rp. 13K
