Southland Tales (2006)<\/p><\/div>\n

Itu adalah puisi aslinya, tapi di film ini jadi NOT WITH A WHIMPER, BUT WITH A BANG!<\/p>\n

Directed by Richard Kelly (yang juga menggarap Donnie Darko, salah satu film yang membingungkan.<\/p>\n

Bintang yang digelar cukup keren dan aneh karena banyak yang berperan tidak seperti yang biasa mereka perankan : The Rock, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mandy Moore, Justin Timberlake, Sean Williams Scott, Bai Ling, Miranda Richardson, hingga Christopher Lambert.<\/p>\n

Film ini seperti Star Wars, dimulai dari Chapter IV hingga VI.
\nCeritanya tentang proses awal dari skenario berakhirnya dunia ini.<\/p>\n

Some points :<\/p>\n

1. Remind me a lot of Donnie Darko.<\/strong>
\nSeperti Donnie Darko, melibatkan banyak metafora, simbolisme, ada unsur teori time-travelling (walau terus terang, ini lebih mudah dimengerti ketimbang DD).<\/p>\n

Tapi saya jamin : BETTER than DONNIE DARKO. Lebih matang dari segi konsep, lebih indah dari visualisasi, dan ceritanya… wow.<\/p>\n

2. The plot is difficult to follow.<\/strong>
\n‘Susah diceritakan’ adalah kata yang tepat. Walaupun cerita sentral adalah seputar Boxer Santeros (The Rock), aktor terkenal dengan koneksi politik yang menghilang, kemudian ditemukan dalam keadaan dalam keadaan amnesia, dan dapat ide untuk menulis cerita tentang bagaimana dunia ini berakhir (gabungan antara faktor bencana alam dan kondisi manusia sendiri). Namun cerita ini ternyata benar-benar ‘terjadi’.<\/p>\n

Cerita ini terjalin dengan banyak sekali sub-plot yang membahas kondisi mirip dengan saat ini seperti : krisis energi dan energi alternatif, internet dan pengaturannya, teen horniness in pop culture dan berkembangnya porn business, perang dan konsekuensinya, anti kemapanan (neo-marxist).<\/p>\n

Bukan untuk yang malas mengikuti jalan cerita. Namun buat yang suka, dijamin akan ditonton berulang-ulang.<\/p>\n

3. Inspiring and BEAUTIFUL<\/strong><\/p>\n

Film ini sebenarnya mirip sebuah prophecy berdasarkan kondisi manusia sekarang dengan visualisasi yang memikat.
