I always like movies that is innovative on plot-theme-storytelling, and this is one of them.
\nThe movie is based on a unique phenomenon about how some people are still awake under anesthetic procedure.<\/p>\n

From internet, I read that this awake-but-paralysed condition has been used in one of Hitchcock’s movie (he’s really thriller guru).<\/p>\n

Personally, I have experienced this condition (but in my case, after the surgery).
\nYou realise that you are completely awake, you can feel things (cold, pain), and can hear things, but you cannot move any of your body parts (including your eyes).<\/p>\n

But in this movie, this happen right from the start. So … can you imagine if you can feel the pain when they start the surgery and you cannot scream at all?<\/p>\n

And … can you guess what kind of surgery they perform in this movie? Prepare your stomach.<\/p>\n

But don’t worry, this movie doesn’t try to be slasher movies. It actually a mystery with quite thick of a plot. Won’t describe any further in order to avoid ruining the surprise.<\/p>\n

Hayden Christiansen is quite good in this movie (well, most of the time, he’s in the operating table anyway). Jessica Alba, cute as she usually is.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
