When I say…”I am a Christian”
\nI’m not shouting “I am saved”
\nI’m whispering “I get lost!”
\n“That is why I chose this way.”<\/p>\n

When I say…”I am a Christian”
\ndon’t speak of this with pride.
\nI’m confessing that I stumble
\nand need someone to be my guide.<\/p>\n

When I say…”I am a Christian”
\nI’m not trying to be strong.
\nI’m professing that I’m weak
\nand pray for strength to carry on.<\/p>\n

When I say…”I am a Christian”
\nI’m not bragging of success.
\nI’m admitting I have failed
\nand cannot ever pay the debt.<\/p>\n

When I say…”I am a Christian”
\nI’m not claiming to be perfect,
\nmy flaws are too visible
\nbut God believes I’m worth it.<\/p>\n

When I say…”I am a Christian”
\nI still feel the sting of pain
\nI have my share of heartaches
\nwhich is why I seek His name.<\/p>\n

When I say…”I am a Christian”
\nI do not wish to judge.
\nI have no authority.
\nI only know I’m loved.<\/p>\n
