Anehnya di Inggris, batu2 yang dibuat model melingkar ini bertebaran banyak sekali.. baik dengan ukuran sebesar ini atau yang lebih kecil.<\/p><\/div>\n

English? Who needs that? I’m never going to England.<\/em>. (Homer Simpson from The Simpsons)<\/div>\n

Menyenang, melihat lebih banyak lagi sisi lainnya Britain. Rencana semula hanya London saja selama 2 minggu, tetapi atas saran banyak sekali orang akhirnya keliling deh. Lengkap 11 hari menyusuri jalan di Britain, masuk ke desa maupun kotanya, termasuk England ini.<\/p>\n

England-in-my-eye:
\n1. Bahasa Inggris boleh sama, tapi logat beda. Mulai dari ‘Estuary English’ of the South-east to the ‘Geordie’ of Tyneside sampai the nasal tones of the Black Country to the burr of the West Country.
\n2. Bentuk rumah di Britain classic & unik, dengan material mulai dari kayu sampai batu.
\n3. Church & Museum. Hampir seluruh kota yang dikunjungi; pasti ada 3 hal ini.. Bentuknya unik, dan koleksinya luar biasa. Sangat layak buat dikunjungi.
\n4. Castle & castle. Hampir semua bagian di England ada castle yang masih dalam kondisi bagus. Jadi pengen beli 1.. yang 1000 pcs (baca: puzzle<\/em>) .. ^_^
\n5. Stratford-upon-Avon. \u201cEngland has two books, one which she has made and one which has made her: Shakespeare and the Bible.\u201d (Victor Hugo). Apalagi kota ini, mulai dari nama caf\u00e9 dan nama hotel, semua diambil dari tittle karya Shakespeare spt As You Like It. Jadi belajar banyak ttg tulisan Shakespeare.
\n6. Bukan hanya Shakespeare; Britain juga punya 2 penulis lainnya (novel) yang kotanya didatangi. Jane Austen (Bath) dan Beatrix Potter (Bowness).
\n7. Biasanya kalau bayar sesuatu, uang selalu ditaro di meja. Kalo di Britain, langsung diberikan ke tangan penjualnya. Kembalinya juga langsung dikembalikan ke tangan kita.
\n8. Menyetir di Inggris sangat menyenangkan, apalagi posisi setir masih sama seperti di Indo. Hanya saja utuk jalan dengan awalan nomor M, membosankan; walau bisa mengebut. 120 km\/jam artinya harus ambil paling kiri soalnya masih termasuk lambat
\n9. Jadi mengerti istilah Matahari dingin. Soalnya walaupun sinar matahari terik & sangat menyilaukan tetapi tetap dingin. Dimanakah sang panas? ^_^
\n10. White Easter. Belum sampai white sih, tapi sangat merasa diberkati dengan salju yang turun.<\/p>\n
