I’ve learned that no matter how much I care<\/span>, some people just don’t care back.
\nI’ve learned that no matter how good a person is, they’re going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
\nI’ve learned that money<\/span> is a lousy way of keeping score.
\nI’ve learned that talking<\/span> can ease emotional pains.
\nI’ve learned that it takes years to build up trust<\/span>, and only seconds to destroy it.
\nI’ve learned that true friendship<\/span> continues to grow, even over the longest distance.
\nI’ve learned that you can do something in an instant, that will give you a heartache for life.
\nI’ve learned that it’s not what<\/span> you have in your life, but who<\/span> you have in your life.
\nI’ve learned that good friends are the only family<\/span> members that we are allowed to choose.
\nI’ve learned that we don’t have to change friends if we understand that friends change<\/span>.
\nI’ve learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
\nbut we are responsible<\/span> for ourselves.
\nI’ve learned that you shouldn’t compare<\/span> yourself to the best others can do,
\nbut to the best you can do.
\nI’ve learned that it’s not where I am that is important. It’s where I am going.
\nI’ve learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides<\/span>.
\nI’ve learned that it takes a long time to become the person<\/span> I want to be.
\nI’ve learned that it’s a lot easier to react than it is to think.
\nI’ve learned that you can keep going long, after you think you cannot.
\nI’ve learned that either you control your attitude<\/span> or it controls you.
\nI’ve learned that heroes<\/span> are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done,
\nregardless of the consequences.
\nI’ve learned that patience<\/span> takes a lot of practice.
\nI’ve learned that there are people who love<\/span> you dearly, but just don’t know how to show it.
\nI’ve learned that my best friend<\/span> and I can do anything or nothing, and have the best time.
\nI’ve learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down,
\nwill be the ones to help you get back up.
\nI’ve learned that there is more of my parents<\/span> in me that I thought.
\nI’ve learned that sometimes when I’m angry<\/span> I have the right to be angry,
\nbut that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.
\nI’ve learned that just because someone doesn’t love<\/span> you the way you want them to,
\ndoesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.
\nI’ve learned that maturity<\/span> has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had, and what you’ve learned from them, and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.
\nI’ve learned that you should never tell a child her dreams<\/span> are unlikely or outlandish.
\nFew things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if she believed it.
\nI’ve learned that it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by someone else.
\nSometimes you have to learn to forgive<\/span> yourself.
\nI’ve learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken<\/span> the world doesn’t stop for your grief.
\nI’ve learned that sometimes when people fight<\/span>, I’m forced to choose sides even when I don’t want to.
\nI’ve learned that just because two people argue<\/span>, it doesn’t mean they don’t love each other.
\nAnd just because they don’t argue, it doesn’t mean they do.
\nI’ve learned that two people can look<\/span> at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
\nI’ve learned that you cannot make someone love<\/span> you.
\nAll you can do is be someone who can be loved.
\nI’ve learned that no matter how you try to protect<\/span> your loved ones, they will eventually get hurt.
\nI’ve learned that many things can be powered by the mind<\/span>; the trick is self-control.
\nI’ve learned that your life can be changed<\/span> in a matter of minutes by people who don’t even know you.
\nI’ve learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when someone cries out to you, you will find the strength to comfort<\/span>.
\nI’ve learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being<\/span>.
\nI’ve learned that although the word “love” can have many different meanings, it loses value when overly used.
