Pricing : Fine dining ($$$$)
My other half’s birthday was yesterday. Got a gift from Citibank, a meal treat for 2 pax. With 4 alternative restaurants ( Seafood at Grand Hyatt, Chinese food at Four Season, Thai Food at Jittlada and Japanese at Basara), narrowing the choice to just one becomes a daunting task.
After much thought and consideration, we decided to try Japanese Food at Basara.
Located in the heart of Jakarta, with a closed red door and stunning interior decor, the restaurants offers an intimate atmosphere.
It’s such a perfect & fabulous birthday celebration. We had set menu for 2, as expected. The food was beautifully prepared and presented and the portions just perfect: Miso soup (quite good, not outstanding), Shrimp Tempura with Udon, Sushi (the maguro is first-rate), Yakimono (Grilled item) and to wrap up the meal, we had Coffee & Strawberry Ice Cream. A good & decent way to end a meal.
Service was great: food arrived quickly and our server checked on us regularly, keeps our glass constantly filled with ocha.
Best of all, we don’t have to pay anything for all of these courses.
